Goodreads Synopsis
She will reign.
As princess of the island kingdom Visidia, Amora Montara has spent her entire life training to be High Animancer—the master of souls. The rest of the realm can choose their magic, but for Amora, it’s never been a choice. To secure her place as heir to the throne, she must prove her mastery of the monarchy’s dangerous soul magic.
When her demonstration goes awry, Amora is forced to flee. She strikes a deal with Bastian, a mysterious pirate: he’ll help her prove she’s fit to rule, if she’ll help him reclaim his stolen magic.
But sailing the kingdom holds more wonder—and more peril—than Amora anticipated. A destructive new magic is on the rise, and if Amora is to conquer it, she’ll need to face legendary monsters, cross paths with vengeful mermaids, and deal with a stow-away she never expected… or risk the fate of Visidia and lose the crown forever.
I am the right choice. The only choice. And I will protect my kingdom.
Set in a kingdom where danger lurks beneath the sea, mermaids seek vengeance with song, and magic is a choice, Adalyn Grace’s All the Stars and Teeth is a thrilling fantasy for fans of Stephanie Garber’s Caraval and Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series.

All the Stars and Teeth was amazing! This whole story and world is extremely unique and refreshing. Majority of the plot was unpredictable and it kept me on my toes. I also loved the pacing as it was mostly fast paced that made the books quick and engaging to read but there were also those few slower sections thrown in to really concentrate on world and characters.
While I don’t usually enjoy romance and while I didn’t particularly care one way or anything for the romance in this book I also didn’t hate it. It did feel natural and developed well rather than falling prey to bad tropes.
I really enjoyed the characters and most of them were very fleshed out and felt realistic. I also loved that most of the major characters were badasses and I was rooting for all of them.
The characters and the magic system is really what invested me in this book. I also really enjoyed learning about the backstory and building up the world. Everything was very well described & atmospheric.
Overall I really enjoyed All the Stars and Teeth and I am keen to get my hands on All the Tides of Fate which is set to release February 2nd 2021. I’m also very keen to see what worlds/magic systems that Adalyn Grace creates next after the All the Stars and Teeth duology is over. This one was so unique that I’m hyped to see what will be next!

Well I kinda chose to do it 😂 I pre-ordered the Hardcover & then I saw the OwlCrate that had it in it come up in the past boxes for sale section and I thought the cover was gorgeous so I grabbed that. Then I saw the paperback at Big W for $12 and thought ‘why not?!’. I was determined to love the book based on how much editions I bought! 😂
