  1. Woah, 21 audiobooks in a month?! That’s incredible!

How did you find the Every Heart a Doorway audiobook? I keep meaning to pick up the book but now I’m curious if the audiobooks are good to listen to. 🙂

    1. I listened to the audiobooks through Scribd. It is where I get 90% of my audiobooks. You pay a small amount per month (around $13 AUD) & you get unlimited access to their entire library of eBooks & Audiobooks as long as they are available in your country.
I have listened to soo many audiobooks through there. It is an AMAZING subscription. And well and truly worth the $13 a month. 12 of the audiobooks I listened to this month were from Scribd, 5 from my library and the others from Audible. I still use Audible for my Harry Potter books as they are the only subscription I have found that stocks Harry Potter audiobooks.

As for the audiobooks of the Wayward Children series. Each audiobook has a different narrator, which at first I was confused but then when I thought about it, it makes sense as each book follows a different POV. The narration of the audiobooks for Every Heart a Doorway & Beneath the Sugar Sky are really good. However Seanan McGuire narrated the audiobook for Down Among the Sticks and Bones and I simply didn’t like the narration. The voice that she put on for a specific older man made him sound like the person a movie character would meet drunk in a dark alley behind a bar. It was straight out creepy. And I actually enjoyed that character when I originally read that book. But when I reread via audio, every time that character spoke it just gave me a weird feeling about him. Her narration slightly ruined a couple characters for me. I just don’t think she has the narration skills that an actual voice actors has. But besides that, the books themself are really good. Beneath the Sugar Sky is my favourite and I do recommend the books or audiobooks.
