February is fast approaching and there is so many books releasing that I’m keen to check out! This is going to be a long one so let’s jump in.
6th of February

Bride has been getting a tonne of hype on BookTook. This one is a Marriage of Convenience Romantasy between the daughter of the most powerful Vampyre & the Alpha of the Weres. This sounds so intriguing and I’m very keen to pick this one up.
Next we have When Grumpy Met Sunshine which is a steamy Romance with of course a Grumpy/Sunshine trope following a retired Footballer wanting to publish his memoir but not imagine he could do a good job himself. He therefore hires a cute and bubbly ghost writer.βThis sounds like it’s going to be a fun time and who doesn’t love a good Grumpy/Sunshine combo.
The Queens of London is a Historical Fiction set in 1925 with dual POV. Following Alice who is elected the Queen of the Forty Elephants, an all-girls gang, which she was going to take to all new heights and Lilian, the first ever female detective at Scotland Yard who is determined to take down the Forty Elephants. I am INTRIGUED! Heists, Thrilling story, badass women in the 1920s? I’m down!
Nightwatching is a book that popped up on my BookTok a few days ago that I’d never heard of before. The Review I watched though made me very interested! This one is a thriller set in a house where a blizzard is happening. The mother is home with just her children and after her son wakes and she puts him back to bed in the middle of the night she hears footsteps coming up the stairs. She quickly and quietly hides her children in herself in a hidden room concealed behind a wall. The intruder knows they are home and is yelling out trying to temp the children and scare her. This is when she realises she recognises the voice and knows she must protect her children at all cost. WOW just WOW. I’m already hooked and I haven’t even started reading.
Lastly for 6th of Feb releases we have A Killer Romance which is the only book on this list that I’ve already read. A Killer Romance is the 3rd book in the A Beach Reads Mystery series. Obviously I can’t say too much without spoiling the previous books but this series follow Summer, a Shakespearean scholar who inherits her motherβs Romance themed Bookshop after she passes away and Murders keep happening that tie back to the bookshop or her family.
13th of February

The Frame-Up I know very little about but what I do knowβis that we follow a con artist who joins forces with her Mums old crew to pull off a once-in-a-lifetime heist. Oh and there is magic… I’m sold.
An Education in Malice is another one I’ve been seeing all over BookTok. After seeing this one so much I looked up the synopsis and I read the below paragraph and I didn’t need to read more. Oh and it’s LGBT+ so I was sold…
Deep in the forgotten hills of Massachusetts stands Saint Perpetua’s College. Isolated and ancient, it is not a place for timid girls. Here, secrets are currency, ambition is lifeblood, and strange ceremonies welcome students into the fold.
Next is The Tainted Cup which I am both confused and curious. I read the synopsis for this one and I am no more the wiser but I am intrigued! All I really know is someone dies when a tree erupts from the stomach, an eccentric investigator that wears a mask at all times and won’t leave her house and he assistant that has the ability to recall everything perfectly that acts as her eyes and ears. Yes, I’m just as confused as you.
Lastly for 13th of Feb is the newest Tessa Bailey book Fangirl Down which is a (I’m assuming) Spicy romance about a professional athlete who falls for his biggest fan.
20th of February
We only have one for 20th of February but this one is being hyped up everywhere so I think it might deserve to shine on it’s own for this day haha. Now A Tempest of Tea is described as perfect for fans of Six of Crows, so I was already interested. This one follows Arthie who owns a teashop by day that turns into a vampire bloodhouse by night. Her establishment has been threatened though and she joins forces with an alluring adversary and pulls in a team to save it. Not everyone in her team is on her side though. She ends up in the middle of a conspiracy that could threaten the world as she knows it.
Vampires? Heist? Dark Underworld? I’m so down!

27th of February

Firstly for 27th of February is Snowglobe which is a translated YA Sci-Fi. This is described as The Hunger Games meets Squid Games. Inside is a warmth and safety and in exchange their lives are broadcast to those outside the dome who live in a frozen wasteland. We follow a girl from the outside who gets chosen to replace a character from one of her favourite shows but she soon discovers being inside isn’t what she expected.
A Fate Inked in Blood is a Norse inspired Romantasy following a shield maiden blessed by the gods who is battling to unite her nation under a power-hungry king. At the same time she is fighting her growing desire for the King’s son.
Fathomfolk had to make it to this list! Both because it sounds awesome and because I share a name with the author haha! Fathfolk follows Mira, a half-siren who lives in a semi-flooded city where the humans live above in their towers & the fathfolk (sirens, sea witches, kelpies, kappas, etc.) live below in polluted waters. All Mira wants to do is help her people below but when one of the Fathomfolk royalty a Water Dragon is exiled to the human city and violence erupts the two must decide if the cost of change is worth paying.
And lastly we have Lore of the Wilds which I know very little about. But after hearing library with a deadly enchantment, FMC relying on two male fae to survive one of which is a Fae Lord and lying about wanting wealth but actually wanting magic of her own I was sold.
Well that is the books I’m most anticipating releasing in February 2024! Let me know in the comments what your most anticipated is and if there is any others I need to put on my radar!
