Thriller/Mystery πŸ“š On My TBR

You may have noticed the new series I am doing here called Bookish 5 Recommendations. Well along side each of those recommendations posts I thought I would also do a post talking about 5 books that are on my TBR that fit in that same category! You can find my Thriller/Mystery recommendations post HERE! Let’s jump in!

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch

I’ve read the synopsis for this one multiple times but I have no idea how to sum this one up. This is a Science Fiction Thriller which is a combination I love! I also have no read many Sci-Fi this year so I might try and get to this one soon so I can tick off another! Everyone raves about this book & it’s been on my TBR for a long time. Hopefully it lives up the hype! I’m also very curious about Blake Crouch’s Wayward Pines Trilogy as well!

Our Last Echoes by Kate Alice Marshall

In 1973, the thirty-one residents of Bitter Rock disappeared. In 2003, so did my mother. Now, I’ve come to Bitter Rock to find out what happened to her–and to me. Because Bitter Rock has many ghosts. And I might be one of them.

Goodreads Synopsis

This one follows Sophia who returns to Bitter Rock to find answers as to what actually happened to her mother. This is a paranormal thriller & I’m here for it!

All These Bodies by Kendare Blake

This one sounds amazing! Set in 1958 it follows the son of the town sheriff Michael who is an aspiring journalist. The murders are starting to hit close to home and the only suspect has decided to only share her story with Michael. He then sets off to discover the truth!

I’ve read other work by Kendare Blake and really enjoyed it so I’m keen to see her first take on the Thriller genre. This is another I am definitely planning on getting to this year!

Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero

I’ve not read the synopsis for this one and I really don’t want to! Scooby-Doo, is that you? I’m so keen to read this one. I think it’s going to be a funny & wild ride and I am here for it in every way! This one falls a bit more into the horror mystery genre which I’m down for! I’ve been wanting to read more horror, so this is perfect for that! Also does this cover not give you all the 70s/80s vibes?! So freaking keen!

The Good Girls by Claire Eliza Bartlett

Another thriller in a school setting? I feel like I’ve been reading a lot of these lately but I usually love them! This one is being compared to One of Us is Lying which is one of my favourite YA thrillers!
Senior, Emma Baines was murdered and secrets begin to be unlocked regarding the 3 suspects, the cheerleader, the troublemaker & the overachiever. Time is running out to solve this one before someone else gets hurt!

Well that is all for the first of this series! Let me know if you have suggestions for what topics/genres I should cover! Next will be books with numbers in the title!

Have you read any of these Mystery/Thrillers? Which should I prioritise on my TBR?

Thanks for reading! Eliza
