For this one, you have to talk about your top 3 vacation spots.
First off it’s called a Holiday in Aus, not Vacation. So that is what I will be using.
So I don’t know if I have 3 spots as we don’t holiday too often and we generally go to the same place as it’s amazing. The other places I’ve only gone once and I wouldn’t exactly say they are favourites. So I only really have 2.
The first is Pottsville in NSW.
When I was born my parents were living in this area. After moving back to where both my parents are from (and where I still live now) we still went back to Pottsville most holidays to visit friends of my parents. However, none of those friends is still in Pottsville so now we just go back for holidays. Pottsville is a small village on the coast just below the Qld/NSW border. When my parents lived there it was a small fishing village but now it is a lot more touristy. No matter where you are in Pottsville you aren’t that far from the beach or Mooball creek. Outside of peak holiday time, you can get a decent house in Pottsville for a week for a great price which is what we do now that I am out of school and no longer only have the school holidays to go anywhere. I’ll leave some pics below. But outside of peak time Pottsville is a fairly quiet nice little time on the beach and has an awesome Chinese restaurant & fantastic Fish & Chips. It’s also not far from a lot of other little towns along the coast there so there is tonnes to look at and plenty of beaches. Not far away is a miniature animal farm & crystal castle which are both awesome touristy kinda places. Also not far away is Tweed Heads so there is access to shopping, movies, fast food and everything else that is in a bigger town. There is also awesome second-hand stores in Tweed and I have found some good bookish gems.
The other one is Hervey Bay. Which is a pretty common Qld holiday destination. But I enjoyed myself while there. Again it’s on the beach, plenty of shopping & awesome food places up the esplanade. There is also a sealife place. I can’t remember what it is called and there are heaps of parks and stuff which is great if like me you have a dog that you take on holidays.
I don’t have pics of this one as it was a while back and I don’t know what hard drive they are on. But it is an awesome place.
