Today I want to talk about 10 audiobooks I want to read by the end of the year!
1. Traitor by Amanda McCrina

This is a World War II story set in Poland 1944. I love reading Historical Fiction but I especially enjoy listening to them on audiobook. I’m also very interested in WWII, so this book intrigues me especially as it doesn’t deal with the Jewish/Holocaust side of things. Those stories are pretty common and I’m on the hunt for ones that follow other parts/places during WWII.
2. Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare

Another genre I enjoy listening to on audiobook is horror/thriller books. When the narration does it well it just adds an extra layer of creepy when listening to it compared to reading it yourself. This one sounds really interesting and would be a good one for the Halloween period!
3. To Best the Boys by Mary Weber

This is a YA Fantasy but it’s described as a ‘Thrilling Fantasy’ so I am keen! The synopsis sounds so interested and like I said thriller type books always sound even creepier or thrilling on audiobook.
4. The Silence of Bones by June Hur

This is a YA Historical Mystery and sounds really intriguing. I love a good mystery and I have been in a huge mystery/thriller mood so this one sounds perfect!
5. The Paper Girl of Paris by Jordyn Taylor

This is another Historical Fiction but follows 2 timelines. Now & during WWII. This one sounds so good and right up my alley but I’m also very intrigued about the dual perspectives. This is also another WWII book that is not based on the Holocaust, well I don’t think so based on the synopsis anyway.
6. We Are Not Free by Traci Chee

This is yet another WWII book but this one is following a group of Japanese-Americans during that time. This is definitely not a perspective I have read about yet so I am very intrigued. This one also has a full cast narration which makes me very keen!
7. The Black Kids by Christina Hammonds Reed

The Black Kids is another Historical Fiction but this one is set in the 90s. This gives me very similar vibes to The Hate U Give except set. near 30 years ago. I am very interested in reading more books by black authors and I think this is a perfect one to read soon.
8. Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline

Ready Player Two is not yet released but I will be reading it as soon as it releases! I LOVE Ready Player One and the audiobook is amazing. It’s narrated by Wil Wheaton who is just perfect for the book and they are bringing him back to read Ready Player Two as well! So I am so freaking keen!
9. Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch

I have been eyeing this series on Audible for at least a year and I finally need to just give it a go! This is an adult Fantasy but also labelled as Mystery. I do love Fantasy but I can’t always get into adult fantasy as it’s sometimes too heavy, so I will just have to see with this one but I am intrigued to try it.
10. The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix

I am aiming to try and read more books by male authors before the end of the year. Currently male authors make up only 15% of all the books I have read this year. So I thought this would be a good one for this and the synopsis sounds amazing!

What audiobook do you recommend the most?
Mine would definitely be The Illuminae Files as they are just so well done!
