Soooo, today I am bringing you guys a BRAND NEW READATHON! That’s right another ReadAThon and this one completely new!
I have been wanting to do this ReadAThon for AGES, but I didn’t know how to really go about it, so over the past few months I have been brainstorming how to go about it and creating the map and it’s finally all fallen together. And here it is!
When?
21st – 30th of June 2019!
How to?
Firstly, here is the map!
The Map break down:
Option 1: New Beijing > Shoel 1 > Kalyazin > Hogwarts
Option 2: Medora > Emberfall > Dustwalk > Hogwarts
Option 3: New Reynes > Ellingham Academy > The Shire > Hogwarts
Option 4: The Ice Court > Fennbirn > Cabeswater > Hogwarts
So for this Round your goal is to JOURNEY to Hogwarts!
So pick a starting point (The Ice Court, New Beijing, Medora or New Reynes) and follow the footprints, completing the challenges along the way, until you make it to Hogwarts!
So the aim is to complete 4 books!
However do not let me stop you! Journey ahead if you wish once you have arrived at Hogwarts! Borrow a Thestral and Journey on to Dustwalk or commandeer the Durmstrang ship and flee to The Ice Court. Once you reach Hogwarts, the path is up to you!

Fennbirn – Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
Cabeswater – The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

Kalyazin – Read a book with Blood on the Cover OR Read a book with a Red Cover
Medora – Read a book with the ‘Chosen One’ Trope
Emberfall – Read a Retelling/Reimagining
Dustwalk – Read a book about a Rebellion
New Reynes – Read a book that has a Card Suit on the cover (Heart, Spade, Diamond or Club)
Ellingham Academy – Read a Mystery Book
The Shire – Read a book that is at least 10 years old
The Ice Court – Read a book following ‘Criminals’
Fennbirn – Read a book with Multiple POV
Cabeswater – Read a book that involves a King
Hogwarts – Read a book that is set in a Magical School
Bonus Info: You can use the Book/Series in which the Location comes from for that Locations challenge! For Example you could Read Ace of Shades for the New Reynes challenge as Ace of Shades has a Card Suit on the cover! This method works with all of the Challenges!

Thanks for picking up on that! Editing it now. I changed the dates of the ReadAThon part way through organising it but forgot to change that part on the post. Points will need to be submitted 9:00pm 2nd of July.

I am having trouble finding books with a card suit on them other than the one you mentioned.

You are welcome to interpret the challenges however you wish. For example for the Card Suit Challenge, you can choose a book with an actual human heart on the cover, with a 🖤 on the cover or the word ‘heart’. Or for a Diamond you could choose a book with a ♦️ or an actual diamond 💎 (or at least something that looks like a clear stone) or the word in the title. You are welcome to interpret them as much as you want as long as you can reason as to why you choose that book for that challenge. Of course, Spade & Club is a little more difficult but you can also use the words.
