Here is what you do:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
I’m bumping it up to 10 books per post instead of 5 this week, I may continue this but it will just depend on how I feel that day.
The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
My mum used to watch the TV show for Wind in the Willows when I was younger and it was always so interesting and funny. I really want to read this book and its short and should be an easy read!
Verdict: KEEP
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
This is a kids book and is only about 40 pages! It’s also a classic of sorts and I have never read it and really want to.
Verdict: KEEP
The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum
This is another classic that I really want to get to. I have watched the movie a fair few times and really needs to get to the book!
Verdict: KEEP
In the After by Elisa Dane
Abandoned by Elisa Dane
I’m putting both of these together as they are both by the same author and same genre These are contemporary romances and I don’t even why I put these books on my TBR when I don’t read these books really.
Verdict: DELETE
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
So I have read Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor and absolutely loved it! This series was on my radar before, but since reading Strange the Dreamer it is a lot higher on my TBR list!
Verdict: KEEP!
This is a Historical Fiction book set in 1914 in England. This follows a girl called Poppy who is thrown into the front lines as a Voluntary Aid Detachment Nurse in the middle of World War 1. This book sounds so interesting and I am a huge fan of Historical Fiction and real want to read more of them!
Verdict: KEEP
World War Z by Max Brooks
I own a copy of this book and it has been on my radar for a while, I just haven’t got around to it yet. This is such and interesting way to right a apocalyptic/post apocalyptic book and I really want to read it! I have considered listening to this book through Audiobook as I have seen it recommended a heap!
Verdict: KEEP
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
I think the reason I haven’t started this book is, one its such a big series, two all the books in the series aren’t out yet and I do prefer to read all the books together if I can and three I have read ACOTAR and it didn’t blow me away as much as everyone says it will and I don’t want to get disappointed if this one is similar. Also a fair few people have issues with the romances in this series and also the lack of diversity. I do want to give this book a go for myself and I do own the first book. It’s just not really high on my priority list.
Verdict: KEEP
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
I have read Anna and the French Kiss and enjoyed it as an easy read between Fantasy series! So I do want to eventually get to this book. The first book was an easy and quick read and I will pick up this one when I need a book like that!
Verdict: KEEP
Well that is all for today! I only deleted 2 out of the 10, but this early in my TBR list is where I was starting to add all the popular books everyone was talking about and most of them are ones that I do want to pick up, just haven’t got to yet.
Keep up the good work!
