Here is what you do:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

I have read the first two books in this series and didn’t love them. There is so much hype for this series and I think the hype just wasn’t the same as those first two books were. People have said this has changed there life and that it compares to Harry Potter. Those first two books in no way compare to Harry Potter in my opinion. A couple people have told me that it gets better the further into the series. And I do own this book, so I do want to give this series a fair go and at least try the next book in the series.

Verdict: KEEP

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab

Darker (1)

I own this book and I really want to read it! I just haven’t got around to it yet!

Verdict: KEEP

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

I honestly have no idea what this is. I know it is a young adult contemporary that has mental illness of some description in it. And I only know that thanks to Goodreads. I own Jennifer Niven’s other book Holding up the Universe, which I got through The YA Chronicles subscription box. I might read that one, but I don’t honestly think I will read this one. I don’t read contemporaries that much..

Verdict: DELETE

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

I honestly don’t know if I want to read this. I have heard so many mixed views about this book/series and I just don’t know! I do want to give the movie a go though.

Verdict: DELETE

Matched by Ally Condie

I have actually just recently ordered this book online through Thriftbooks! So yes I want to read this book!

Verdict: KEEP

And that is all for today’s Down the TBR Hole!
