So, I’m doing books to buy the YA lover in your life. I will try and have books from as many genres as I can.
1. The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
This is a Science Fiction Series that also has Dystopian vibes. This book is amazing and is one of my new favourites! This book is made up of emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more, rather than just paragraphs of text narrated by a main character. This series is made up of Illuminae and Gemina
2. Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children Series by Ransom Riggs
Another of my new favourites. This series is Fantasy/Paranormal series. It is an amazing series and will get you hooked! This series consists of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City and Library of Souls
3. You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour and David Levithan
This is an LGBT Contemporary. It was definitely an easy, quick and fun read! If you are looking to get more into LGBT/Diverse books I would highly Recommend this one!
4. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
This is a Contemporary read. I don’t particularly like Contemporary books, but I did really enjoy this book! I like that they also included snippets of a fantasy story that one of the characters are the author of.
5. Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
Rebel of the Sands is a Fantasy novel! It is also the first book in a series, with the next book Traitor to the Throne is set to release in February next year! This is another new favourite and I can’t wait for the next book to come out!
6. Ready Player One by Ernest Kline
Ready Player One is Science Fiction/Fantasy novel. This book would be good for people that like gaming! I listened to this book on Audiobook, and I highly recommend it! It is narrated by Wil Wheaton and it was really fun to listen to.
7. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
This is awesome Fantasy book. It is part of a series, but so far I have only read the first book! But I want to finish the series soon! The other books in this series are The Iron Daughter, The Iron Queen, The Iron Knight.
8. The Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking
This is another amazing Fantasy series. I have read all the books in this series and also the companion series The Kanin Chronicles. The Series consists of Switched, Torn & Ascend.
9. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
I’m pretty sure this series is on any YA or Fantasy recommendations list I have ever written! I absolutely loved this series! The series consists of Vampire Academy, Frost Bite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound & Last Sacrifice.
10. Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Of course this series is on here! How could it not be with me writing a YA recommendations.
Well, that is it for this weeks TTT!
I love Kagawa and keep meaning to read that series. I have the first one in the series but haven’t read it yet…you should have added The Lunar Chronicles!
