Book Travelling Thursday – Book That Brings You Warm Feelings

I really need to stop finding memes that I want to do that are on the same day as memes I already participate in!

I’m also cheating as it is 2 hours into Friday, no longer Thursday but oh well!

Book Travelling Thursday is a weekly meme created by Danielle and Cátia. All you have to do is a pick a book that is related to the theme, the themes are announced on the Goodreads page. Once you have chosen a book you need to find the original cover, the covers from your country, your favourite cover and your least favourite cover.

So this weeks theme is: Fall is just around the corner: A book that brings you warm feelings

So I’m not normal, that as simple as it gets. The book I chose is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, all the HP books end on a kind of good note compared to the really bad thing that has been building up all book, but out of all I loved Prisoner of Azkaban the most, everything you learnt about Sirius and how everything turned out just makes me so happy!

Original Cover:

9780747542155

I’m pretty sure that this was the original cover, so if I’m wrong I’m sorry!

The copy I own is similar to this but slightly different as it is the UK Bloomsbury Celebratory edition.

Cover from my country:

I tried googling it with no success, I live in Australia and most of the time with just get the UK edition of books!

Favourite covers:

Left is the new UK Bloomsbury Children’s Edition.
I love that they added the stag to the cover of this edition and the illustration is just beautiful! I also really like the colours on this edition.

Middle is the UK Bloomsbury Celebratory edition, which is the one I own.
I like that this one is basically the same as the original (which I really like) but it just has that bit more, I also like the gold on the spine, which you obviously can’t see in this photo but that what it has on my real copy. I wish I had the full set in this edition so the spines would be metallic.

Right is the iBooks/Kindle edition.
I really like this cover! My favourite thing is that when the image is smaller or further away the island looks like a wolf howling, I’m guessing this was on purpose and I love it!
See!

Least Favourite:

Left is the Bloomsbury Adult edition
To me if you removed the words from this book it looks like the cover of a murder mystery or something, there is nothing to refer it to Prisoner of Azkaban.

Right is the American Original Scholastics edition.
I just don’t like the illustrations! The faces of Hermione and Harry are really chubby and Harry is meant to be the opposite of that! and Buckbeak looks like a bird that has just smacked into a glass door.

Well, that’s it! Which cover for Prisoner of Azkaban is your favourite! Also, comment a link below to your Book Traveling Thursday or just tell me and I will check it out!
It’s interesting seeing different covers for books, I don’t really think about it as I just buy what available to me, so I probably haven’t seen half of them!

  1. My favorite is the last one. The American Scholastic edition. I guess because that’s the cover of the book I own and it reminds me of being a kid. Lol.
