December 📚 Anticipated Releases

It’s time for another anticipated releases post! Have I read any of the books on my last couple anticipated releases lists? Nope. Am I still keen though? Always!
So, let’s jump in!

1st December

I have loved everything I’ve read by Karen M. McManus so I am super keen to pick up her next YA Mystery/Thriller, The Cousins. This one follows 3 cousins whose grandmother disinherited their parents long ago. The 3 cousins are invited by their grandmother to her island resort where they think they will be able to reconnect with her. However, there is more to their families story than meets the eye. This one sounds so interesting and I can’t wait!

I honestly know nothing about A Curse of Roses & I have never heard of Diana Pinguicha but the first 2 sentences of the synopsis fascinated me & it’s marked as LGBT+ & a retelling. So I’m very curious!

With just one touch, bread turns into roses. With just one bite, cheese turns into lilies.

I haven’t gotten around to reading Claire Eliza Bartlett‘s first book We Rule the Night yet but it has always been on my radar! I just haven’t been reading as much fantasy lately as usually as I’ve been super into mystery/thrillers. So this book sounds like a perfect introduction to this author as it’s a Thriller! Hopefully I will have the chance to get my hands on The Good Girls soon.

8th December

I have a love/hate relationship with anthologies but I still keen to give this one a go! A Universe of Wishes is a Diverse Own Voices anthology featuring short stories from 15 well known authors!

15th December

I am sooo freaking keen for this sequel! It’s also the only sequel on this list… The rest are all stand-alones except 1 which is the first book in a new series. I read Nocturna earlier this year and it was amazing! So I’m very excited for Oculta.

18th December

The Notorious Virtues is one of my most anticipated releases of the year! I’ve been so keen to see what Alwyn Hamilton does next ever since I finished her first series, Rebel of the Sands! And it’s finally nearly here! I doubt I will get the chance to read it before the end of the year as it doesn’t release till the 18th & I’m always busy around this time of year but hopefully early 2021!
