Argh, I’m hopeless at remembering to post these! This is the one that should have gone up on Saturday!
For this challenge, every week you make a post talking about the best books you’ve read and the ones you are keen for on your TBR that start with a specific letter.
So this week I will be doing the letter C. I will not be including the word ‘The’ as the first word.
I don’t have as many books for C that I love as I have for A & B.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
This is the first book in The Lunar Chronicles. While there are a couple things in this series that I don’t love, for the most part, I did really enjoy them. They are fun and action-packed. Also, the world is very well developed and vivid.
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
This is the amazing sequel to Six of Crows! These books are intense, action-packed and very enjoyable to read. The characters are very well developed and so is the world. Though I do recommend reading at least the first book in the Grisha Trilogy before starting Six of Crows as the magic system isn’t explained in Six of Crows at all, so that could be found confusing. I personally read in this order Shadow & Bone, Six of Crows, Siege and Storm, Ruin and Rising & Crooked Kingdom.
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
Contagion by Erin Bowman
Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skye
The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

I know The Crown’s Game is a divisive read, but it was one of the first historical fiction books I really fell in love with.

That’s awesome. I have The Crown’s Game & The Crown’s Fate on Audiobook on Scribd. So I might go that route. Hope I enjoy it. 😊
