As soon as I saw this I had to join up! This is a reading challenge is hosted by Live Love Read YA, Booksy Daisy Reviews, Kelsey’s Cluttered Bookshelf & Escape Under the Cover (don’t bother looking at this blog as they haven’t posted since 2015.. But it was the link that the other bloggers used, so I used it too..)
I’m not going to go into any details about the reading challenge on here but you can find all the info & sign up HERE! All I will say is that this reading challenge is happening from Sunday, October 15, to Sunday, November 12. So that’s 4 weeks and a day for this challenge.
All the books I choose are books I already own or have on one of the eBook apps I have.
Hogwarts Student Questionaire!
Firstly, I’m a Gryffindor! The Gryffindor house badge below is from the Sign Up posts.
And the below graphic is mine and answers all the questions on the Sign Up post!
Main Challenges (Year level challenges)
So these challenges are just your own choice of what you read and with each of the books, you read you go up a Hogwarts year level.
These books will really depend on what I get finished before then! So instead of picking 7 specific books, I’m just going to pick some of the options that I know I want to read by the end of the month and then at the start of November I will concentrate on the bonus challenges! (Well that is my plan!)
Gemina will be a reread and I will be rereading via audiobook! They don’t say anything about rereads not counting, so I am definitely using it!
Bonus Challenges!
I will not be doing all of these obviously as that would be a total of 20 books in 4 weeks!
Gryffindor: Read a book with an epic hero/heroine
Hufflepuff: Read a book that contains a strong friendship
Ravenclaw: Read a book that revolves around a mystery
Slytherin: Read a book set in a dystopian world
Astronomy Class: Read a book set in outer space
Care of Magical Creatures: Read a book that features an animal or magical/mythical creature
So I couldn’t think of anything for this so I just googled books with magical creatures and this came up, so I’m hoping it’s correct.
Tri-Wizard Tournament: Read a book that includes a competition
This one was difficult as the only book that came to mind with this was One Dark Throne by Kendare Black, however, I don’t own it yet. So I just googled books with competitions and this came up, so I’m hoping it’s correct.
Occlumency: Read a book about a character with magical abilities or superpowers
Death Eater: Read a book told from the POV of a villain
Again, googled it as I couldn’t think of anything for this, so if it’s not accurate, not my fault.
Platform 9 3/4: Read a book that features travel
Time Turner: Read a book set in the future or past
Fantastic Beasts: Read a spin-off to a beloved series
I don’t own this book yet but I plan on buying it very soon!
Dumbledore’s Army: Buddy-read a book with a friend or group
This is a BOTM for The Most Popular Reads Facebook Group for November! So I’m buddy reading with heaps of people!
Well, I think that is all! I will try and do an update weekly to let you know how I’m doing and also on what points and year level I’m on!!
Whoop! Gryffindor for the win, haha 😀

Mask of Shadows does indeed have a competition & And I Darken is pretty much from the point of view of a villain. I really enjoyed both very much! Good luck with the House Cup (I’m considering joining!).
