So I was thinking this the other day and now have decided to make a post about it. So in this case by merch I am referring to bookmarks, magnetic bookmarks, stickers, prints, candles and everything that bookstagramers buy off Etsy. This is going to be a list of books or series that I think either need merch or just need more of it.
For candles, I only shop from Australian Candle companies because the shipping from overseas is just something I can’t afford to be using my money on. But unless they have crazy shipping prices I do buy from overseas for bookmarks, stickers, prints and magnetic bookmarks as they are light weight small packages, so the shipping is fairly cheap. So some of these may be more Aussie companies need more merch for these series! I have searched on
I searched on Etsy for all of these as I was going along to see if I actually was right and not missing something before adding them to this list.
1. Vampire Academy & Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead
There is a little bit of merch to this. I just bought 4 bookmarks from Bookmark Library which were Vampire Academy characters. They are the first ones I had ever seen so I just had to grab them! I’ll leave a pic below of them. This is one of my favourite series so I really wish there was more for it! I want an Adrian scented candle, I need that in my life!
2. The Medoran Chronicles by Lynette Noni
This is a new favourite series of mine by an Australian author and it’s absolutely amazing! I would love magnetic bookmarks of Alex, Bear, Jordan, D.C., Roka, Kyia, Zain & Niyx! Oh and also one of Xira, that would be so cute! There are also some awesome quotes in this series!
3. Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
For this series, I have only found 1 magnetic bookmark from EpikPage but that is it. This series is fairly popular and it’s an amazing series that is now getting turned into a movie! I hope with the movie there will be more stuff coming out for this series!
4. Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
There is a lot of jewelry for this series but I’ve only found 1 magnetic bookmark set on Bonitismoland and a few actual bookmarks. But considering how popular this series is and even if you haven’t read it you have more than likely heard of it at least. This could also be a fun series to do stuff with, with all the crazy abilities they have!
5. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I know this is a new series and will take a while to get more stuff like this but it is still one I want more of. This has become a lot of people favourite for this year, so I hope we will get more. There is a few ‘Weep’ candles popping up but unfortunately they are all international companies and there isn’t any I have found on Aussie candle companies yet. There is also a few normal bookmarks with some of the amazing quotes this book offers but there is no magnetic character bookmarks as yet. This is another series that would be awesome to design with the powers of certain characters! I think the title of Girl on fire may have changed hands? 😜
6. Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
I love this series so damn much and there are a few bookmarks for this series and 1 candle for Miera that I have found, but that is all. I would love some magnetic bookmarks of the characters of this book! And candles for the lands of Primoria. There are similar candles for the courts of the ACOTAR series as in this book there is also Winter, Summer, Autumn and Spring and then also Yakim, Ventralli, Paisly & Cordell.
7. The Trylle Trilogy & The Kanin Chronicles by Amanda Hocking
These are two companion series and they are an amazing series and there is 0 bookmarks, candles or anything else for this series. This is underrated and unknown series to most people, so I get why there isn’t stuff for this series but I wish there was!
8. Divergent by Veronica Roth
There are tonnes of jewelry for this series and a few bookmarks but that is about it. There is one set of magnetic bookmarks with the symbols of the 5 factions on NewLeaf but that is the only magnetic bookmarks. I know a fair few people weren’t happy with the movie of this but I still love the books. I haven’t even watched the Allegiant movie yet. But I’m surprised there isn’t more stuff for this series.
