I have been using Libby ALOT lately. I’m pretty sure I’ve listened to more Audiobooks through Libby so far this year than I have on Everand. So I thought I would have a look at the books I currently have on Hold and on Loan. I currently have 23 books on Hold & 7 on Loan. I have little idea what most of these books are about. I tend to use Libby to read books I hear about online or that simply look interesting seen as it’s free. I can easily return them if I don’t like them rather than spending money on them. Let’s jump in!
On Loan

4 of these are due in the next 3 days, so I’m not sure if I will get these all finished before the loan expires but I will try my best.
Arsenic and Adobo by Mia P. Manansala is the first book in a Cozy Mystery series. Cozy Mysteries are a comfort read for me, so I try and read them often.
Then I have my current read, A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen which is a Fantasy Romance.
A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal is the first book in a YA Fantasy series.

Night Shift by Annie Crown is a Contemporary Steamy Romance.
The cover of Kill for Me, Kill for You by Steve Cavanagh caught my eye on Libby and it’s a Crime Thriller which is perfect for the upcoming spooky season.
Lastly for my Loans I have The Weight of Blood by Tiffany D. Jackson which is on my Magical ReadAThon TBR.
On Hold
These Holds range from ‘Available Soon’ to ‘~22 Weeks’ so you may not see these read anytime soon haha.

The Best Way to Bury your Husband by Alexia Casale is a Mystery Thriller and I know nothing about it. The title was what sold me and made me hit Place Hold.
The Fox Wife by Yangsze Choo was another ‘cover buy’ which I didn’t know anything about before putting it on hold. This one is a Historical Fantasy book and apparently has a mystery aspect.
Starling House by Alix E. Harrow I own multiple copies of thanks to Subscription Boxes so I thought I better give it a read to see if I should keep the multiple copies or not.
When Haru was Here by Dustin Thao is the most recent addition to my holds as I saw mention of it in a YouTube video I watched recently. This one is a YA LGBT+ Contemporary

Bride by Ali Hazelwood is a book that I have heard both really good and really bad about. I do want to give it a go but it’s definitely one I’m trying not to let other peoples thoughts impact my excitement for it. Bride is a Fantasy Romance.
Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree, YES I still haven’t read this one. I do own it but it’s a special edition and I don’t want to read it. So I was waiting on the audiobook on Libby. The issue was that when it became available I was in a bad reading slump and I didn’t want that to affect my read. my Hold is only 3 weeks away now, so soon!!
Phucking Ever After: Volume 1 by Emily Rath is one that I have seen people raving about for so long. I finally caved and put it on hold when I saw it pop up one day. I don’t tend to read really popular books while the hype is still happening as it tends to affect my enjoyment as I overhype it in my head. Which is why I was avoiding this one.
Lore of the Wilds is another book that I ended up with a copy of thanks to a Subscription Box. This is a Fantasy Romance and it does sound pretty interesting so I’m keen for it.

Blood Like Fate by Liselle Sambury is the sequel to a book I read in the last couple weeks. I was hoping to read the sequel straight away but alas there was a wait time. I’m really good at forgetting what books are about so I’m hoping I hold onto that memory until I get a chance to listen to this sequel.
Fourteen Days is a Collaborative Novel that I have already started. It was returned before I could finish it though and it’s wait time was about 8 weeks at the time. I’m now down to 5 weeks wait but it’s still a long time. I’ll probably have to reread the bit I’m already read when I finally get back to this one.
Nightwatching by Tracy Sierra was recommended to me as a super Dark Thriller so I’m really looking forward to it!
A new Karen M. McManus? Hell yes. Such Charming Liars is her latest novel and I have enjoyed everything I’ve read by her, so I’m keen for this one.

I recently read Collide & this one, Passion or Penalty by Leah Brunner was recommended based on my reading of Collide. So I thought by not.
The Grandest Game is the first book in a new series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes based on her other series The Inheritance Games. I loved The Inheritance Games so I’m keen for this new series!
Home is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose is a Mystery Thriller and was another one that the cover sold for me.
An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson is yet another one I have multiple copies of thanks to Subscription Boxes and I don’t want to read the physical copies so I’m waiting for the audiobook. I am very excited for this LGBT+ Historical Fantasy Romance.

One of Us Knows by Alyssa Cole is a Thriller that I have been eyeing for a while though I have been a little hesitant as I DNFd the only other book by Alyssa Cole book I’ve read. So a little nervous but it sounds very interesting.
The Sherlock Society byJames Ponti is a Middle Grade mystery and while I don’t read Middle Grade often I on occasion find one that sounds intriguing. This one is inspired by Sherlock Holmes and is getting a Scooby-Doo vibe, so I’m curious.
Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli I actually just removed from my Hold List as I’m writing this post. I was going to delete it from the post but incase anyone else fell for this, Heartless Hunter is the same book as The Crimson Moth. It’s got two different names, whether its the UK/International version or the US Version… I thought this was the sequel to The Crimson Moth, which is why I had it on my hold list a I read The Crimson Moth in June. Turns out it’s Rebel With or AKA The Rebel Witch that I need to hunt down…
Death at Morning House is probably my most anticipated on this list! The Truly Devious series is one of my all time favourite series. The books ended up Best Books of the Year multiple years in a row and I just love them. So I am very keen for Maureen Johnson’s latest release!

Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer is a Fantasy Romance that I have seen all over TikTok. When I saw it come up on Libby I thought why not? There is still a 19 week wait though…. Help!
The Phoenix Keeper by S.A. Maclean was meant to be on my TBR for Magical ReadAThon this month. Though based on the fact it’s still a 22 week wait, I don’t think that will be happening… I may cave and grab it on Audible or somewhere.
Lastly we have Heavenbreaker by Sara Wolf which is a Sci-Fi Romance. The first part of the synopsis alone made me interested in this one ‘far-futuristic medieval space opera with giant robot space-jousting, epic violence, and heart-pounding romance’.
Well that is all the books currently on my Loan or Hold shelves on Liby! Let me know if you have read any of these that I should prioritise when they become available!
