There are soo many awesome sounding books coming out in June, especially in the Mystery, Thriller & Horror genres. I narrowed it down to the top 9 I’m looking forward to! Let’s jump in!
Going Biocostal – 13th June
Honestly the cover of this is what caught my attention first but this is a YA LGBT+ Romance and it sounds like the perfect read when you just need something light and fun.
The Infinite Miles – 20th June
Everything about this has me intrigued. Firstly it’s an Adult LGBT+ Sci-Fi. Then with the cover & that it’s about time travel is giving Back to the Future vibes but it also apparently plays homage to Doctor Who???? Sign me up! I don’t need to know anything else.
Don’t Forget the Girl – 20th June
This one has very little in the synopsis but it does mention a few things that have me intrigued. Firstly we have a disappearance (possible murder) that happened 12 years ago. I love a mystery that spans over different timelines. So I’m already interested but then they also mentioned a podcast. I also love murder mysteries with a podcast/website/etc. element. It’s giving Nothing More to Tell & I Hope You’re Listening vibes. So count me in.
She Started It – 13th June
This is compared to And Then There Were None, so I’m already interested but it’s an about a Caribbean Bachelorette party that takes a sinister turn. No cell service and no other guests and turns into a terrifying nightmare? I’m in! Sounds perfect.
The Spare Room – 20th June
This synopsis has me intrigued but there is also some very mixed reviews. This is an erotic thriller? That’s the best way to describe it based on what I know. The MC has broken up with her Fiance and moves in with a friend and her husband. Things end up getting steamy but the MC soon discovers there was another woman before her who is now missing…
The First Bright Thing – 13th June
This sounds incredible. This is a LGBT+ Historical Fantasy following a ringmaster who can jump to any moment in time. However, there is someone after her and they will stop at nothing to get what they want. This sounds so thrilling and fascinating!
Speak of the Devil – 13th June
Firstly, this cover makes me not intrigued about this book. So it’s lucky I read the synopsis… This is another Thriller but this is described so interestingly.
Seven women stand in shock in a seedy hotel room; a man’s severed head sits in the centre of the floor. Each of the women – the wife, the teenager, the ex, the journalist, the colleague, the friend, and the woman who raised him – has a very good reason to have done it, yet each swears she did not.
Some Shall Break – 6th June
I’m so freaking keen for this sequel! None Shall Sleep, book 1, was incredible. It’s a YA psychological thriller following two teenagers who join forces with the FBI to try and hunt down juvenile serial killers. I haven’t read anything about book 2. I’m just keen!
You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight – 20th June
I honestly know nothing about this besides its a YA LGBT+ Horror by an author I enjoy and it’s being compared to Fear Street. I’m so in.
