This week’s prompt is: Favorite Polarizing Books
–These are books that people either tend to love or hate, with no in between. Pick some of your favorites that fall into this category.
1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I loved this book, but I know some people didn’t love this book.
2. The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare
I have only read the first two books and I wouldn’t exactly say they are my favourites either, but I did enjoy them and I know they are a book that people either love or hate!
3. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
As anyone who follows me knows, I bloody love this series! And I am always arguing with people that don’t like the series. Granted a lot of the people that I argue with have only seen the movies and not actually read the books, but I know there is people out there that have read the books and didn’t like them.
4. Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien
Love Love Love! Just listening to the second book on Audiobook at the moment.. But I know I’m going to love this series! And I know there is people that don’t like the books or movies.
5. The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead
Another of my favourite series! And I know a lot of people don’t like this series and Bloodlines!
I don’t know anyone that has read the Harry Potter books and that didn’t like them. I do know a lot of people who haven’t read the book and have no intention of reading them, which always makes me sad for them, because they don’t know what they are missing.
I agree with you about Vampire Academy and The Mortal Instruments. I know they are polarizing reads, like you said, people either love them or hate them.

I try…I try really hard to like The Lord Of The Rings but I just can’t help myself and fall asleep almost every single time I open the book or watch a movie. That is such a shame since almost all of my friends absolutely adore it!
