Header Image

This Meme is hosted by Thoughts On Tomes and the prompts can be found on Goodreads.

This week’s prompt is: Favorite LGBTQ+ Reads
–Talk about your favorite books that feature LGBTQ+ characters or are by LGBTQ+ authors.

I don’t have a top 5 LGBTQ+ Books as I haven’t read enough that I loved to make 5. So instead I’m going to talk about 3 Fantasy books with LGBTQ+ characters as I need to read more of them! And I have 2 of my favourite YA books with LGBTQ+ characters.

Fantasy Books with LGBTQ+ Characters

I’m only basing this on google that these books actually have LGBTQ+ characters.

1. The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black

20958632 (1)

2. Half Bad by Sally Green

3. The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan

This series has an LGBTQ+ character towards the end of the series I think.

Favourite books with LGBTQ+ Characters

1. You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour & David Levithan

2. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

If you have any recommendations of YA fantasy books with Diverse characters please leave them in the comments! I want to read more diverse books but as there is a larger amount of diverse books in the contemporary genre than the fantasy genre, and I don’t enjoy contemporary as much as fantasy, I just don’t read many

This Meme is hosted by Thoughts On Tomes and the prompts can be found on Goodreads.

This week’s prompt is: Books That Would Make Good Video Games

There may be slight. spoilers in this post.

1. The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

This would be an amazing game! Navigating the ships would be so fun!

2. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

cover104679-medium

This world would be awesome to explore in game form! Discovering and exploring Weep &  exploring the dreams would be awesome too

3. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

This would be an awesome story to follow! Trying to find out where the King was on the ley line.

4. Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Meeting new peculiar children would be awesome, navigating the world and trying to save the Ymbrynes. Would be awesome.

5. Harry Potter & Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them by J.K. Rowling

I know Harry Potter already has the games that follow the books/movies, but I want something different! I want a game that you start by receiving your owl and going shopping in Diagon Alley for your school supplies. Then go to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express and get sorted! Go to classes and perform spells in Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts & Charms, make potions, train creatures in Care of Magical Creatures & locate stars in Astronomy. Depending on what skills your best at you can graduate and find what job you would fit in and train in that and then go on to do that job in the wizarding world!

The same general Idea could happen with Fantastic Beasts too, maybe even Illvermorny being added in there or just finding Beasts and Training them, saving them or returning them to their homes!!

Someone needs to do this last one!

Well that is all for today! What books would you like to turn into games?!
