My Go To Reading Ambience to Play

So, I am someone that can’t stand the silence. So I like having something playing in the background. But I also can’t handle music and especially anything with talking/singing. I know some people can listen to music with singing or put a tv show/movie on in the background while reading but I’m just not that person. If there is talking my brain tries to focus on both but I end up not taking in what I’m reading or what is being said… So I love listening to ambient sounds like rain, storms, fireplaces, etc. and I thought I would share my favourites. I do try out new ones frequently but these are the ones I always go back to.

First we have this gorgeous Cherry Blossom Cabin which has a trickling stream & bird song.

Next is Firenze’s Divination Classroom which has bird song, insect noises, camp fires and more. This one also swaps from light to dark part way through. If you’re not familiar with the HP books, Firenze who is a Centaur that ends up coming to the castle and teaching Divination in a classroom that’s transformed to look and feel like you’re outside. You will notice a fair few from ASMR Rooms channel. They are easily my favourite channel and it’s sad that they are no longer posting new content. There is plenty of older content to go through though.

Next from ASMR Rooms channel is the Hufflepuff Common Room. While I’m not a Hufflepuff I love the cozy nature vibes of the room plus the fireplace, bird song, rain and other sounds of this one.

Let’s get through all the ASMR Rooms ones together shall we? Next is this Woodland Realm LOTR inspired ambience. This one has river noises that I find very calming.

Then we have my absolute favourite from ASMR Rooms. I’m a plant person so this greenhouse is a dream haha. This one has rain on the glass greenhouse roof. There is also a daytime version of this too which I use occasionally.

Lastly from ASMR Rooms is the Hogwarts Library and I honestly used this one to fall asleep for months. It features thunderstorms, rain, pages turning & quills writing.

Next we have this cute Potion Shop Kitchen. This one has potions bubble, footsteps, stirring & bottles clinking.

This ones a bit more intense and I use this one for certain books. Especially books with sea travel. But this is a pirate ship ambience. This one has the creaking of a ship as well as thunderstorms.

Next we have this Royal Library that features rain, thunderstorms & fireplace crackling

Lastly we have another library and this one has similar sounds to the above but a more cozy vibe.
