October πŸ‘» TBR

This will be a shorter post as I only have a couple on my list at the moment. I am participating in Bookopoly ReadAThon which finishes on the 13th. Due to the nature of that ReadAThon I really can’t predict what I will be reading for the challenges. So I won’t be adding anything for that specifically but these are some books that I hope might fit or I will be trying to read at the end of October!

Physical/eBooks

The Ghost Tracks by Celso Hurtado

First on the list is one that you might recognise from my September TBR but obviously I didn’t get to it. The Ghost Tracks is a YA Horror Mystery that I received as an eARC. This one releases in October so I’m hoping to read it early in the month if I can so my review can go up before release! This one follows Erasmo who sets up shop as a paranormal investigator and I am very intrigued!

The
Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Next I have The Hawthorne Legacy which is the sequel to The Inheritance Games which was a favourite from last year! This the conclusion of the duology so I am keen to see how this mystery wraps up. Hopefully it will live up the first book but we will see. The Inheritance Games follows Avery who is just an everyday girl attending school when someone arrives and tells her that she has been left the fortune of a billionaire who she has never even met.

White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson

Another new release? Yep! This one is a YA Horror so I thought it would be perfect to read around Halloween! This is described as a modern take on the classic haunted house theme. I am super keen and this cover is absolutely stunning! Can’t wait for my copy to arrive. Hopefully it will get to me soon so I can read it in October!

Audiobooks

Falling by T.J. Newmans

I have been seeing this book EVERYWHERE lately! BookTok, Bookstagram & Facebook groups! It’s everywhere right now! This one sounds like a high stakes thriller. All I know about it is that the main character boards a plan & the pilot has to crash the plane & kill everyone to save his family. Sounds like it’s going to be a wild ride & I’m here for it!

Senlin Ascends by Josiah Bancroft

This is another one I found online! I can’t recall who or where I saw this but I know I was watching something and someone was highly recommending this! It sounded really good & it’s the first book in an adult fantasy series. I saw it pop up on Scribd so thought why not! Do I remember what it’s about? Nope. Am I still keen? Yep!

Graphic Novels

100 Ghosts by Doogie Horner

Do I know what this is about? No but it looks cute. And it’s about ghosts, so fits the halloween vibes! This one just popped up on Scribd when I was looking for a Graphic Novel to fit a Magical ReadAThon challenge. I thought it looked cute & interesting so I saved it. It’s that simple really.

Low: Vol 1 – The Delirium of Hope by Rick Remender

Yes this is another one I don’t know about about. Graphic novels are so short, so I don’t like reading synopsis because it feels like it gives so much away. I basically just check to make sure it’s not labelled as romance & if the illustrations are good then I’m down! This one is a adult Sci-Fi I believe and I have NOT read enough Sci-Fi this year. So will go towards that.

Well that is all for my October TBR! Let me know what you are most looking forward to read in October.

Thanks for reading! Eliza
