Okay, so this is a bit later than usual but it is here! Here are all the ReadAThons I could fine for August. For August I couldn’t find any ReadAThons shorter than a week or any that were in the 2-4 weeks category. I think with the crap tonne of ReadAThons that happened in July, August is a little more chill.
Break your TBR Apart
This is a week long ReadAThon all about conquering those TBRs! This ReadAThon has 7 reading challenges that should be easy for anyone to find on the TBR pile they already have.

1. Read the last book you purchased
2. Read a book you have had on your TBR for quite a while
3. Read a book that has something to do with summer (can be because of the title, the cover, or the colours in general)
4. Read a book with a character that is different from you (can be of race, religion, etc.)
5. Read a book published from the last 3 years (2018, 2017, 2016)

Bout of Books
It’s round 23 for Bout of Books! This one is later in the year so there aren’t any details up yet! I will link the Twitter below though, so if you are interested you can see updates there. This ReadAThon has Reading Challenges and they are currently looking for ideas!
The ReadAThon goes from midnight on the 20th till 11:59 pm on the 26th of August.
Manga Madness ReadAThon
This is a ReadAThon all about reading Manga. This ReadAThon has challenges but they give you 3 options in which you can participate.
The first is to complete challenges based on a bingo card! Image below. Your goal is to complete a bingo.
The next option is to read whatever you want, as long as it’s Manga.
And lastly is to concentrate on a certain series that you want to get to.
The ReadAThon goes from midnight on the 10th till 11:59 pm on the 18th of August.
Here is the Bingo board

The TBR BustAThon
TBR BustAThon is dedicated to reading the books on your TBR! So rereading does not count. There are 7 challenges for this. But if you don’t have a book to fit a challenge then simply skip it as the idea is not to be adding more books to your TBR by buying new books. If you wish you can use 1 book for 2 challenges but no more than 2. There will also be sprints held on Twitter.
The ReadAThon goes from midnight on the 6th till 11:59 pm on the 12th of August.
1. Read a book with less than 300 pages
2. Read a book with a mythological creature on the cover
3. Read a book whose title begins with the first letter of your name
4. Read a 2018 release
5. Read a book with some kind of school supply on the cover
6. Read four books
7. Read a book from your childhood/a children’s book
This ReadAThon occurs every month and each month there is a different focus on what to read.
So this ReadAThon has 2 parts, first, there is the theme. So the idea is to try and read books related to that theme and then there are the challenges, they are an extra challenge and not necessary but add some extra fun.
This ReadAThon happens every month so here are all the future challenges in case you wanted to plan!

Magical ReadAThon – NEWTs Edition
So a couple months ago there was a OWLs Edition of Magical ReadAThon. You won’t really be able to do the NEWTs if you didn’t do the OWLs. For this ReadAThon each subject has 3 challenges. However, you can only do the challenges for a subject that you completed in the OWLs edition. Same as at Hogwarts, if you fail a subject in your OWLs you won’t be allowed to continue with that subject. Now, each subject as I said has 3 challenges, one for each of the pass grades you can receive during exams (Acceptable, Exceeds Expectations & Outstand). You have to complete these in order. So you start with the Acceptable challenge and then move up to Exceeds Expectations and then finally onto Outstanding. Hopefully that all makes sense, it is really hard to explain but I will leave links below to the creator’s announcement post.
The ReadAThon will go for the entire month of August.
