Header Image (12)

Okay, so for this challenge, every week you make a post talking about the best book you’ve read and the ones you are keen for on your TBR that start with a specific letter.
So as this is my first week I will be starting with A. I will not be including the word ‘The’ as the first word.

I don’t know who created this as the account that I saw it on also didn’t know. But I saw A Book. A Thought. do this challenge.

A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers
This is the second book in the Wayfarer’s series! Which is one of my new favourite series! This is an Adult Sci-Fi series and the books are all companion novels. The books are very character driven and have a very interesting and diverse cast of characters. There are tonnes of unique ‘alien’ species to meet in this book and the world is extremely vivid! I absolutely love this series and A Closed and Common Orbit is my second fave in the series.

Armada by Ernest Cline
Armada is another Sci-Fi book but this one is YA. Armada is a heavily video game based book and it was just so interesting, I loved the characters, the world and the action of this book! Highly recommend if you like Ernest Cline’s other series, Ready Player One.

Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody
This one is a new favourite having only read it last month. I read Daughter of the Burning City, Amanda Foody’s debut and LOVED it. So as soon as this was announced I was extremely excited! I was not disappointed! This book has an interesting world with amazing characters and tonnes of twists and turns! Can’t wait for book 2.

A Tale of Two Murders by Heather Redmond
Another new favourite, this one I read this month. This is a historical murder mystery loosely based on A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. In this book, we also have a young Charles Dickens as the main character. He is working as a journalist at a local paper when a weird death occurs and he doesn’t believe it to be natural causes and sets out to solve the crime. This is a really good Murder Mystery, I literally had no idea who the murderer was until Dickens unveiled them.

Akarnae by Lynette Noni
This book!! This was the book that started my love for my number 2 favourite series of all time! The Medoran Chronicles is only second to Harry Potter on my top 4 favourites series ever! This world, these characters, the friendship, the plot, everything about this book is amazing and I love it.

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
This book started my love for reading Murder Mysteries. I have watched many TV Shows and movies that are adapted from Agatha Christies book but this was the first one I read and I loved it! So I just kept reading Agatha Christie books!

  1. I’m so glad you started doing it! I love this challenge.
I need to read Ace of Shades so much, it sounds incredible. And I enjoyed The Archive, I recommend it a lot, although I feel that the second book is so much better than the first one 😊
