Guys, I’m finally hosting a ReadAThon! I have had this idea for ages and was originally just going to do a month-long reading challenge for myself where I do this. However, I have decided to actually make it into a ReadAThon! This ReadAThon will be starting on my birthday too!
This Round will be going from midnight on the 2nd till 11:59pm on the 8th (7 days long)
This ReadAThon is pretty simple. First, pick a goal. I will be aiming for 7 books, but you can choose as many or as little books as you wish.
Next, grab a jar, or cup, or hat, I don’t care. Something you can put names into.
For the next step, you can do this one a few ways.
Option 1 is to put all the books on your TBR (physical, eBook, audiobook, whatever you wish) into a hat.
Option 2, you can pick some of the books you are most looking forward to and put them in a hat. (Try and put at least double the amount that is your goal)
Option 3, (this is what I will be doing), get a 2nd jar, in 1 jar put all the physical & eBooks books on your TBR into it and in the 2nd jar put all the audiobooks on your TBR.
Lastly, pick a name out of the jar and read that book, then pick another name and read that book and continue until you either hit your goal or run out of time in the ReadAThon.
If you want to join please make a post announcing that you are participating & your first TBR Jar picks. This can be a blog post, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube.
Use the hashtag #TBRJarRAT so I can see what you’re up to (also if it is on Twitter then you can tag the @TBRJarRAT page too.
So, some of you may have a few books from the same series still on your TBR. Join the club. So if this is the case, you can either choose to only put the 1st book (or the book you are up to) in the TBR jar OR you can put it in as the full series. So if you pick up that name, then you have to try and read all the books from that series that you have on your shelf.
This ReadAThon is very customisable, so do whatever fits you.

I just want to explain how I will be doing this ReadAThon. As I said above I will have 2 jars, one for audiobooks & one for physical/eBooks. This is because I want to be able to read both at the same time rather than be limited to only what I pull out of the jar, no matter if that is physical or audio. So at the start, I will pick an audiobook & a physical/eBook out of the jars and start there. As I finish each I will then pick another out of the designated jars.
I will be doing a video on my YouTube channel where I tell you all the books that are going into my TBR jar choose my first books, so keep an eye out for that one & then I will be doing a reading vlog for that week where you can see all my TBR Jar choosing!

I love it! Besides my assigned reading for my class, I was planning on reading “throwback” titles in July (like some older releases I never read when they were popular). Would it count if I just put together a TBR jar of those books so it still fits my July theme?
