Autumn Reading Tag

This tag caught my eye as it’s called Autumn and not Fall in the title! Which is rare! I’m from Australia and we call it Autumn here!

I saw this tag on cutloosebookloose and just had to participate! No, I was not actually tagged. But has that stopped me before?

Also just a little bit of info before we start.. As I live in Australia we are actually currently in Spring. I will still answer the questions as they are written though except the first one in which I will change Autumn to Spring in the Question.

1. Are there any books you plan to read in the Autumn Spring months?

I plan to finish the Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children series by Ransom Riggs first. I have already finished the first book in a previous month and now I have started reading Hollow City! When I finished Hollow City I will go onto Library of Souls and then the Tales of the Peculiar. This Spring I also want to read Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, and that will be straight after Miss Peregrine’s as my Gemina Ya Chronicles box shipped yesterday! So I will be receiving it very soon! I’m so excited! I also want to try and read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and maybe finish The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater or read the Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir (Well the two books that are currently out)

2. September (well it’s already October actually) brings back school memories. What was the best book you studied at school and what were your favourite and least favourite subjects?

Well besides Shakespear I only actually remember reading 3 books and they were To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden and Does my head look big in this by Randa Abdel-Fattah (Which I never actually read, just said I did, my bad). I really enjoyed Tomorrow When the War Began and I loved the assignment we had to do on it and I also really enjoyed To Kill a Mockingbird and I have actually recently purchased it along with Go Set a Watchman. My Favourite Subject was hands down Ag (Agricultural Studies) I love working with animals and I was also good at it, which was rare as most subject I was okay at and got alright marks but in Ag I was a straight A student.. I also enjoyed English and SOSE/History My Least favourite was probably PE, I am not athletic in the slightest, except swimming so I enjoyed the summer months when PE was spent at the pool but asides from that I didn’t enjoy it and I dropped it as soon as they would let me!

3. October means Halloween! Name some of your favourite horror books and films. 

I honestly haven’t read any Horror books and I don’t know if I actually will. Haloween isn’t the same in Australia as it is in the US and places and I don’t feel like I should be reading creepy books at the moment..

I do watch Horror films but at the same time they don’t scare me in the slightest and most of the time I’m cracking up laughing through Horror films. Especially The Conjuring, I was laughing so hard at that movie! I do love love love Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2 they are great movies and I could watch them all the time!

4. With November it’s time for bonfire night and firework displays. What’s the most exciting book you’ve read that’s kept you gripped?

I have no idea what this question means as I don’t know what bonfire night means and we don’t usually have fireworks (that might just be because I live in a small country town and we only have fireworks for New Years and our annual Show day).

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff was defiantly an exciting book that I read recently and also Miss Peregrine’s Home for Pculiar children was exciting and kept my gripped.

5. What is your favourite Cosy Comfort read?

Harry Potter. I can read this series 100 times over and never get bored with it! I am currently listening to the Audiobooks of the series and I am up to Goblet of Fire! I absolutely adore this series and it is the only books I can read while reading another book and not get confused. I am not one of the people who can read 3 books at once as I just get them confused and mixed up in my head. Unless it’s Harry Potter and I think that’s because I love it so much and I know the story so well that I can’t get it confused with anything else.

6. What hot drink do you choose when curling up with a good book?

Well I can’t drink coffee or tea or anything unless they are decaffinated, but at the same time I don’t like either anyway.. So Hot Choclate.. However I barely drink hot choclate as I’m more of a soft drink adn alcohol drinker haha.

7. Do you have any exciting plans this autumn?

Work, Study my Diploma of Beauty Therpay, Blog and try and sleep more than 3 hours a night.. Sound exciting to anyone else??
