Top Ten Tuesday – Ten Characters I’d Name a Dog

Top Ten Tuesday is a monthly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and you can find all the info and upcoming prompts Here.

This week’s prompts is: Ten Characters I’d Name A Child/Dog/Cat/Car/Etc. I’m going to go with Dog as I really want a dog atm!
A large majority of these will probably be Harry Potter related as I have always wanted to name my dog after something Harry Potter, so I have a lot of ideas.

1. Bella
   
   As in Bellatrix Lestrange from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I have always enjoyed Bellatrix and I love her actor Helena Bohman Carter as well! Even though Bella is one of the bad guys, I still love her!
2. Lily
   
   Lily Evans/Potter from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, I can’t, not have her on the list as its such a nice name and also even though we don’t know much about her in the stories she is still a character that plays a huge part in the books, she is the reason Harry is alive!
3. Lupin
   
   Remus Lupin from the Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling. This is quite appropriate considering he is a werewolf and we are talking about dogs names! Remus Lupin is one of my favourite characters in the whole series!
4. Phoenix
   
   Fawkes from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Fawkes isn’t really a character as he is a Phoenix, but he is still on this list! I love Fawkes, he is so awesome, what he can do and he is also a reminder of Albus.
5. Rose
   
   Rose Hathaway from the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead! Rose is such a badass character and an awesome female!
6. Finn
   
   

   

   

   Finn Holmes from the Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking. I read this series ages ago but I do remember how much I liked Finn at the beginning.

7. Aragorn
   

   

   

   Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R. Tolkein. There are a lot of names that you could use from the LOTR series and all of them are very unusual names.

8.  Amani
   

   

   Amani Al’Hiza from the Rebel of the Sands series by Alwyn Hamilton. I like this name and it was a really enjoyable book that I’m keen to get my hands on book 2!

9. Toby/Tobias
   
   

   

   

   Tobias Eaton from the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. I decided to go for another boys name as most of these have been girl’s name. Tobias would be an awesome name and Toby could be a shorter version of the name.

10. Loki
    
    

    

    

    

    Loki Staad from the Trylle Trilogy and Kanin Chronicles by Amanda Hocking. Loki could also mean a couple other book or movie characters, but the Loki I am talking about is from one of my favourite book series!
