Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Villainous Harry Potter Characters

So I have decided to do Top Ten Villainous Harry Potter Characters

1. Dolores Umbridge

This is absolutely my least favourite character in the entire Harry Potter series! In my opinion, this bitch is worse than Voldemort. At least Voldemort was straight out evil. Umbridge pretends to be pleasant but is actually a bitch. Torturing students, like seriously woman, come on!

2. Voldemort/Tom Riddle

Like I said before, Voldemort is straight out evil. Murdering innocent people including a baby. Do I need to say more?

3. Bellatrix Lestrange

Bellatrix is straight out evil. Her devotion to Voldemort is scary and sometimes creepy. She tortured Frank and Alice Longbottom to insanity and killed heaps of people including her own cousin Sirius Black and she also killed dobby! You monster! She also tortured Neville Longbottom the same as she did his parents and threatened to torture Ginny Weasley when she was only 14! One of my favourite scenes in the book and movie is when Bellatrix is killed by Molly Weasley after she tried to curse Molly’s daughter Ginny!

4. Peter Pettigrew

Besides the fact that he betrayed his best friend to Voldemort which resulted in them being murdered, he betrayed his other best friend, Sirius Black by letting him take the blame for killing 12 people including apparently peter himself when it was actually Peter who killed 12 muggles and then turned into his animagus form of a rat and disappearing, only to be adopted by the Weasley family as Percy’s rat that was then passed onto Ron. He was also the reason that Voldemort came back to power! He literally lived as a rat for 12 years!

5. Bartemius Crouch Jr.

Okay, firstly he killed his own father! He also killed and tortured heaps of people, including torturing Alice and Frank Longbottom alongside Bellatrix Lestrange. He assisted in bringing Voldemort back to power. He locked Mad-Eye Moody in the bottom of a trunk for who knows how long and using Polyjuice Potion pretended to be Moody and was in charge of teaching students Defense Against the Dark Arts which is just scary to think about! After being discovered he received the dementor’s Kiss.

6. Fenrir Greyback

Another pure evil character! Fenrir is a werewolf that has gone beyond the norms of most werewolves. He goes after children and turns them like he did to Remus Lupin! He tries to turn as many people as possible as he wants to make an army big enough to take over the wizarding world! He also attacked Bill Weasley. He killed Lavander Brown in the Battle of Hogwarts and was blasted by Hermione Granger, later in the Battle of Hogwarts he was defeated by Ron Weasley and Neville Longbottom.

7. Lucius Malfoy

He slipped an evil diary into an 11-year-olds cauldron which results in her nearly dead. I know that he is all for his family, but the way he brought up Draco and how he treated him was not cool! Draco would have been so much nicer if he had a different father and wasn’t constantly trying to impress him! He also attempted to kill Harry Potter when he was 11, inside Hogwarts castle, but Harry was saved by Dobby!

8.  Amycus and Alecto Carrow

When Snape became headmaster Amycus and Alecto become the ‘Muggle Studies’ and ‘Dark Arts’, they were also in charge of discipline.. They tortured students that wouldn’t do as they ask and stood up against them, including Ginny Weasley and Neville Longbottom. They were not present at the Second Wizarding War as they were locked in Ravenclaw tower and it is believed they were put in Azkaban after the war.

9. Gellert Grindelwald

 

Even though he was only present in memories within the Harry Potter series he is defianly a villain. Originally he was friends with Dumbledore when they were younger, but when he had his hand in Ariana’s death he fled. He was the second most famous Dark Wizard. He was later killed by Dumbledore after a 3-hour long duel that also resulted in Dumbledore becoming the owner of the Elder Wand.

 

 

10. Rita skeeter

This physco became an unregister animagus so that she could spy on people and twist the truth to try and ruin people through her column in the Daily Profit called Me, Myself and I. She was discovered by Hermione Granger, who captured and kept Skeeter in her Beetle form in a jar.
